Herman Schultz was a safecracker and inventor who built vibration-blasting gauntlets while in prison, then broke out to become the Shocker. He debuted in Amazing Spider-Man #46 (1967) and has been one of Spider-Man's most frequent opponents ever since. His padded suit protects him from his own vibrations, and his blasts can shatter concrete. He co-starred in The Superior Foes of Spider-Man (2013), a pragmatic professional who knows when to run.
